Introducing Yourself
Introducing yourself will help people get to know you better. You can introduce yourself in a forum called, "Hello's and Goodbye's". While introducing yourself, tell people your favorite hobbies, T.V. shows, movies, or other things. You may find that you have a lot in common with other users on ClubpenguinHQ by posting these things.

Earning Respect
Earning respect at CPHQ isn't hard at all. You just need to know what not to do.

What not to do:
• Ask about the Money Maker
• Be rude to other users
• Act like you are better than other users
• Pretend to be something that you're not
• Break the rules

If you remember not to do these things, you should have other people's respect in no time!

Following The Rules
Following the rules is an important thing to do at CPHQ. Breaking the rules can result in warnings or bans. If you use common sense then you will be fine. You can read the rules in the "Forum Rules" thread.

Signatures And Avatars
You may see other users with pictures under their post or above their name. The are called signatures and avatars. If you want a signature or avatar, you need to have the picture that you want for your signature or avatar made already. If you would like to make one yourself, you can make one in an editing program such as Paint.NET. If you don't want to make one, you can always ask one of the users on CPHQ to make one for you at their signature or avatar shop.

To set an image as your signature or avatar, follow these next steps:
(Only follow step 1 if you made the picture yourself. If someone else made it, they should've given you the link for it.)
1. Upload your image to an image hosting site such as imageshack.
2. Find the link to your image.
3. Copy the link to your image.
4. Now go to your User Control Panel.
5. After that click the "Profile" button.
6. Then click "Edit Signature" if you want to set the image as your signature, or click "Edit Avatar" if you want to set it as your avatar.
7. If your setting your avatar, paste the URL for your picture in the text field and click submit. If you're setting your signature follow step 8.
8. If your setting your signature, you can use this thread to find out how to use the codes for your image.

Posting
Your post count does not matter at all. It's the quality of your posts that count, not the quantity. Try to keep your posts over 6 words and try to use proper grammar and spelling if possible. Using curse words in your posts is not against the rules but I do not recommend you do it all the time, especially towards other people. If you a rude or mean to another user in one of your posts, it is called "Flaming". Flaming is against the rules and you will either receive a warning or a ban for it. If you post something completely pointless it is called "Spam". Spam is also against the rules and you will be warned or banned for posting it. If in you're post you want to add an image, colored text, or make your text bold, then I recommend you check out the BBcode Tag Guide.

Staff
The staff of CPHQ maintains the forums and helps users who are having trouble with something. The Moderators and Administrators have the ability to warn, ban, or edit any user on CPHQ. If you ask to be a moderator or administrator, it will ruin your chances on becoming one. So please don't ask. You can find a list of the staff by clicking here.
