Podcast Guidelines

Hey guys. Here are some things I'd like to see in the podcasts.

• Group podcasts instead of single-person ones. It gets boring with single people. Use something like Skype or Gizmo Project. Look into it.[/*:m:87d62]
• Scripts or outlines are important to keep the flow nice and to keep you from stumbling.[/*:m:87d62]
• Try to make them on schedule, like weekly or something. Any more often than that is too much -- I think weekly is perfect.[/*:m:87d62]
• Keep the format the same for each podcast, and try to implement new stuff.[/*:m:87d62]

Group? Damn. I had a plan that one person could do one, then someone else, then someone else...Also, is abot doing the podcasts now?

It would probably be best if you made a sub-domain on CPHQ and give me or Fire or something an FTP account so we can automatically upload it. But if you want I can do it since I have dreamweaver etc. Gizmo Project will probably work best because it has a built in recorder.

Ermm... i hate to ask, but why did you just pick moderators for Poodcasters? it kinda ruins it for members.
But, nice guidlines anyway. This should be a stickie.

I'm not a podcaster but..
I can set up the CPHQ blog to give all of you access to post your podcasts, or set up another install of wordpress just for podcasting. Theres a wordpress plugin called PodPress. It's specifically made for incorporating podcasts into the wordpress blog. I could set up and theme another blog instead of using the regular CPHQ blog but this blog would be only for posting podcasts. PodPress is a great plugin for wordpress and I think we should use it for posting and managing the podcast
