Forum Rules

First, and most important, use your common sense. If you think that your post will be offensive whatsoever, then do not post it.

General Rules

• Do not infringe upon the rights of others.
• Your posts, signatures, avatars, or anything else of which you control the content of may not be offensive or illegal in any way. They may not contain pornography, racism, etc.
• Do not infringe upon copyrights, trademarks, service marks, or any of the similar. (i.e. warez, appz, etc.)
• Do not spam. This includes avoiding the minimum character count, example: "202020" or similar. Also, don't type in all caps, and use proper spelling, grammar, and punctuation if possible. Forum games are allowed, as long as they are posted in the proper forum.
  
• Profile spam is NOT TOLERATED. This includes text spam, as well as image spam.
• Stay on topic. Do not post personal messages to people (i.e. "OMG add me in CP I'm at the dock.") - these things belong in PMs, not in the public forums
• Do not "flame", "attack", or be mean to any user in any way.
• Do not argue publicly with a moderator. If you have a problem with an action they've taken, contact them privately via PM.
• Do not post or otherwise publicly reveal personal correspondences with other users, including, but not limited to instant messenger conversation logs, private messages, and recordings of telephone calls. If the information is intended to be used as "evidence" that another user is harassing you or breaking the rules, you may send it in a private message to a staff member.
• Members should post in a way that is readable for all users. Do not post in extremely large or small text. Likewise, post in a color that is readable for every user; do not post in colors that blend in to the background text field. Users consistently abusing this will be warned
• Bumping is only permitted if it is for a good reason such as support and only if there have been six hours between your bump and the last reply.
• Do not advertise other websites. This includes posts, private messages, and anything else. An exception to this is your signature, where you may have links to other sites
• All information regarding "macroing" or "cheating" in Club Penguin must stay in the proper forum.
• Do not ask to be a staff member. Doing so will lower, or possibly ruin, your chances of ever being one.
• If you're not a moderator, do not try to moderate. Let the moderators do their jobs. If you have a problem with a post, report it and ignore it.
• Do not abuse the report button, reputation, or any other built-in forum features.
• Do not register a username that is, or is obviously based on, a Club Penguin or ClubPenguinHQ staff member's name, unless you are a Club Penguin or ClubPenguinHQ staff member, respectively. You may not intend to impersonate anyone.
• Do not register more than one account per person. Multiple accounts per household are allowed, as long as they are owned by separate people. Do not share ClubPenguinHQ accounts. One account per person: no more, no less. Also, DO NOT make another account if you are banned. If you're banned, you were banned for a reason and WE DO NOT WANT YOU BACK UNTIL YOUR BAN IS OVER, in some cases EVER.
• Do not post as a guest if you have a working account.
• Posting or requesting of personal information including (but not limited to) address, exact location, phone number, and/or photograph of a user is strictly prohibited.
• Do not ask for, or give out, medical advice. If a user/staff member was to give out incorrect medical advice, the injury may worsen and the owner of ClubPenguinHQ may be held responsible.
• Do not post malicious software.
• Do not request other people's Club Penguin account passwords on ClubPenguinHQ. Chances are, you are a scammer and will just rip off their account. Giving away accounts is not good either. Also, do not post account names on the forums without knowing that Club Penguin spies [b ]are here [/b]and will probably ban any usernames they see.
• When reporting posts, make sure that it is for something serious that affects the forum. This pertains to spam, warez, flaming, pornographic content, etc...
  
• Do not ask for variables or "codes". Doing so will result in an infraction. This means throughout every forum, private messages, and visitor messages.
• Do not ask for a username change. We will not change your username unless it is a valid reason. Reasons like "My username is lame" are NOT valid.
• Do not intentionally try to do post addiction on all of the forums. You will not be warned, but if you keep doing it, and most of it is spam, you may be punished depending on the spam.
• You may post "free sex" images, but you must put them within spoiler tags and above the spoiler, you must say "NSFW (Not safe for work) Do not look if you are easily offended."
• We are an english-speaking forum. You may not speak in any other language than English.
• If you are banned, having a sibling make an account for you/themselves is not allowed, since there is no way for us to tell if it is your account or your siblings.

The same rules apply to any other services operated and/or provided by ClubPenguinHQ.
Five forum warnings will lead to a ban of varying length depending on the subject of your warnings.

CPHQ's IRC chat rules.

• Don't spam/flood
• Don't change your font color, or you will be kicked by the CPHQbot
• Don't advertise, get permission from a staff member first
• Don't flame other members
• Don't impersonate anyone
• Don't say or ask for any personal information
• Take all arguments with another member to a PM
• Use your CPHQ username for the IRC
• Don't ask to be an op or half op

Signature Rules
Use common sense when it comes to signatures. If your signature looks too big to you, then it probably is. If we determine that your signature is too big, or if it is offensive, we will remove it. If you are a repeat offender, we may restrict your signature privileges.

Ending Statements
If we find you breaking the rules, the punishments will vary. They will range from us doing nothing whatsoever to a permanent ban, and possible legal action (depending on the legality of the offense, of course). Your posts may be deleted, and your privileges revoked.
If we feel that you are detrimental to the community whatsoever, we reserve the right to take action, no matter if you broke a rule on the list or not. We reserve the right to refuse service to anyone, as this is a privately owned website.
These rules are subject to change at any time, without warning.
