Plastic Text Effect (Photoshop)

From this tutorial you will learn how to add a plastic effect to your text.

Step 1:
Create a new canvas and pick the text tool and type your name or something:


Step 2:
Open up the layer styles and choose "Satin". Then apply these effects:



It should look like this:


Step 3:
The next step is to give it a 3 dimensional look. Choose "Bevel and Emboss" and apply these effects:



Step 4 (Final Step):
We will also use "Contour" setting to add some extra depth to the text:



The final results should look like this:


You can add a little more effects to the text to make it look better.
